Tusovka
-
Informal party for young people, get-together.
-
(colloquial) a group of people with a common interest, such as musicians, artists.
I was asked to create a series of 3 posters for a cultural event. The Tusovka evening was created by a group of young people, "Generation 1.5", who was born in the Soviet Union, grew up in Israel and are aspired to share their immigration stories and their cultural identity from the USSR in Israel. Intimate migration performances in Hebrew, from the mouths of "1.5 generation" artists reading poetry, "Spoken Word" and music in Hebrew, accompanied by personal stories describing the experiences of immigration and the USSR culture on which they grew up. The goal in the project was to combine elements from both worlds, ex-soviet union, and Israel to find an accessible common ground. Through colors and typography, I peruse to change the "stereotypical" image of the soviet culture in Israel to a positive and optimistic one.
